If you are visiting us between June 23rd and July 2nd, you will get to witness the 40th anniversary of the first LGBTIQ pride parade in Spain, and what promises to be the largest pride parade the world has ever seen. This year Madrid will be hosting EuroPride (a continent-wide festival) and WorldPride at the same time, marking the first time any city has hosted both simultaneously and Madrid will absolutely not disappoint. With over 3 million attendees expected, be prepared for 10 days of music, dance, theatre, poetry, puppetry, you name it. Anything goes! Literally. This year will also be the debut of WorldPridePark, where you can find vendors and LGBTIQ and human rights associations and connect with people from all over the world.

Pride festivities will take place starting at Atocha Station and ending at Plaza de Colon. If you are interested in attending the International Human Rights Conference, it will take place from June 26-28, and the week will come to a close with the Pride Parade on July 1st. The parade is the sparkly cherry on top of this week; it will take place at Atocha at 5 PM and go up Paseo del Prado to Plaza de Colon. Expect 40 double-decker floats, millions of people, and complete madness (hopefully). Madrid is the LGBTIQ capital of Spain and of Europe, so to be here during this week means you are in for a truly unforgettable experience. Don`t miss out! Below check out some pictures of what to expect, as well as how the city is preparing for this week of excitement!
