The navibús- This is an awesome joy ride that you and your friends can join for only 2 euros. It takes you on a tour of all the best Christmas lights Madrid has to offer. Be sure to get there early because the lines can sometimes stretch all the way around the block. Located in the upper-class neighborhood of Serrano you can board the bus until the 6th of January.

Holiday markets- Get some holiday shopping done at any one of the many Christmas markets around Madrid. These markets are located at all the major plazas including Opera, plaza Mayor, plaza del Callo and of course el Rastro(barrio la Latina) every Sunday morning.

Churros- What holiday trip to Madrid is complete without a few of those deliciously fried strips accompanied with a piping hot mug of chocolate. This holiday treat is sure to warm you up on these chilly Madrid evenings.

New Year’s Eve party at cats- Last but not least don’t miss out on Madrid’s hottest New Year’s Eve party. Hosted by Madrid’s famous hostel Cat’s, this is sure to be a night you will hazily remember.
